Laugh More. Give More. 2018

The Laugh More, Give More, Comedy Night event was founded in 2014 by Maya Kotecha and Carmyn Aleshka. This year, Meghan Riley, 2018's headlining comedian and long-time comedy night contributor, will co-host alongside Carmyn Aleshka for the first time. To date, Laugh More, Give More, events have helped raise over $90,000 for various organizations and causes.


is a fast-talking, high-energy performer, whose style finds its roots in high school debating (NERD ALERT) theatre and improv. Meghan started performing stand up comedy in 2012, when she entered and was a finalist in Rumor's Comedy Club's annual contest: Winnipeg's Funniest Person With A Day Job. Since then, Meghan has been featured all over town including in the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the EmpowHERment 3 Showcase, the Sarasvati Women's Comedy Night, and the Sirius XM Women of Winnipeg Showcase.


is an accomplished stand-up comedian, with years of hosting experience in radio and television. He's appeared on APTN and can currently be heard as a radio host on NCI FM. Paul has performed stand-up comedy across North America. From theatres to comedy clubs, from community centres to schools. He has made multiple appearances at both the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and Oddblock Comedy Festival and has been featured on CBC's The Debaters.


is a rising comedian whose quick off-the-cuff style engages himself to the audience. A three-time semi-finalist for Sirius XM's Next Top Comic, Ben has performed all over Canada. Ben has been featured on CBC's Laugh out Loud, Sirius XM radio, and has performed in the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Just for Laughs Showcase, and the Oddblock Comedy Festival.


is a regular host at Rumor's Comedy Club and has been featured on CBC Radio's Laugh Out Loud, The Winnipeg Comedy, showcased for Just For Laughs and placed in the Top 25 at The World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas in 2013. He's opened for the likes of Chris D'Elia, Gerry Dee and lots of others who probably don't remember his name. 


was born and raised in Winnipeg and dang, she loves this wintery, mosquito-filled city. She has been doing improv for over 12 years, most recently with Dungeons and Dragons Improv. She has also appeared in The Winnipeg Comedy Festival and the Oddblock Comedy Festival. She won the title of Rumor's Funniest Person with a Day Job in 2016 and hosts a podcast about her one true love, Tom Hanks. Look for 'Talkin' Hanks' anywhere you find podcasts. Her style has been described as "thoughtful, honest and wickedly silly" and comedy makes her really happy.
